Drills to Improve the Wedge Game
Ah, the wedge game. The part of the game that so many amateurs struggle with. Many people struggle with distance control, bladed and fat shots, and God forbid the dreaded shanks.
This is especially true for those 30 to 80 yard shots or what I like to call the partial wedge shots.
Many amateurs like to avoid these types of shots altogether and try to hit their tee shot or layup shot to give themselves a full swing into the green. They think this helps them with their scoring, which might be true for a slim minority. However, most of us will be better off — on average — by trying to get as close to the green as possible.
But the next step is knowing how to hit these shots. Do you know how or do you struggle?
If you struggle, have you “tried everything” to get better at them but still struggle? If so, keep reading as I will give you some drills to work on which can help you master this part of the game.
Are you ready?
Let’s get started.
